Without a doubt Sumba is still my favorite island in Indonesia. The nature, people, culture of Sumba, one of the most southern islands in Nussa Tengara is spectacular. And that is not to mention the beaches!

Ha Long Bay in Vietnam is a spectacular place. Almost 200o islands and rocks in weird shapes can be seen here. The area is comparable with Yangshuo in China, Krabi in Thailand and to lesser extends with Vang Vieng in Laos or Ipoh in Malaysia.

One of the most underrated countries in the world due to politics. It doesn’t matter if you agree or not with the politics in Iran, what matters is that Iran is a magnificent country to travel. The people are amazingly friendly, there’s enough to keep you busy for a couple of weeks which is not surprising with the long history of the country.

Think only about the Persians with Darius have been ruling the country, leaving Persepolis. Esfahan is called the Paris of the East and not surprising. And then there’s the south eastern desert with cities as Yazd and Bam. On the bicycle you can enjoy the country to it best.

Hue is a heritage city in Central Vietnam. It was for many years the capital of Vietnam during several dynasties. During the Nguyen dynasty the Citadel and the Vietnamese Forbidden City was build. When in 1945 the last emperor stepped down the city fell to the elements. In the wars that followed much of the Forbidden City was destroyed. Only after the war slowly renovation projects started.

The Forbidden City may not be comparable with the Forbidden City in Beijing but if you wander around you can still find traces back of the pride and glory of the feudal days. I can recommend anyone visiting Vietnam to visit the Forbidden City and the nearby royal tombs.

Vietnam is a country with an amazing array of different activities. The south has the Mekong Delta and some amazing experiences possibilities north of Saigon. Further north around Na Thrang you will find the beaches, more history in Hoi An and Hue (Vietnamese Forbidden City). The north contains the natural beauty of Ha Long Bay and the north west area where Sapa is the most popular destination. That, and much more details can ber read here:
