Every year, thousands of tourists and visitors go to Hawaii to soak up on the sun, sand and luau. No surprise there as Hawaii is one of the premiere vacation places to head to when you just want a complete tropical experience. Aside from the beaches and the sun, there are also a lot of activities you can indulge in such as surfing, boating, or jet skiing. Hawaii is also a good place for diving enthusiasts, boasting one of the best diving spots in the world. Add in the fact that the locals are among the friendliest you will ever find and you have a recipe for a completely memorable experience.

Part of the things you’ll have to consider when vacationing in Hawaii, though, is getting a place to stay. The problem is, since Hawaii is such a very popular choice for a tourist destination, you can almost be sure that the hotels and resorts will nearly be full. Also, if you’re one of those tourists who have a limited budget, staying in a posh hotel or resort can be quite risky, especially if you’ll happen to extend your stay in Hawaii unplanned.

In such cases, a very good solution is the use of timeshares. Timeshares are a form of owning a property without actually owing it fully. Think of it as a corporation. You have several shareholders in a certain company. In the case of timeshares, the “company” is a piece of property such as a house or a cottage. It is owned by a group of “shareholders”. Each person is given a share of the time they can use the property, whether by month or year. Like company shareholders, the amount of time they have to use it will depend on how big their timeshare is.

If you’re interested in timeshares in Hawaii, you can get one by buying them. The easiest way to do this is through the Internet. You can search for timeshare websites or timeshare vendors. Alternatively, you can also rent timeshares from people who have them and do not currently have any use for. Doing so will ensure that you won’t ever have to worry about a place to stay in Hawaii again.

As you already know, I live in Malaysia, and not far from here is a turtle breeding station. It’s an important station as turtles getting more and more rare. Although turtles lay up to about 100 eggs, the mortality rare by natural causes is about 98%. Now men comes and eat turtles and turtle eggs. The result… you can imagine. The once common Leatherback is now almost disappeared. Green Turtles and Olive Ridgebacks do come around here.

However, people still eat turtle meat and eggs (one egg cost here in Malaysia about RM 3-4, US$1 and people are still willing to pay!

The Turtle Research and Rehabilitation Group, formerly known as Sea Turtle Research Unit (SEATRU) Universiti Malaysia Terengganu has set up a plan to make people More aware of the problems turtles face. Become a Turtle Ambassador, click here and help to bring the turtles back in Malaysia.
